Hey, y’all. I got my septum pierced!

Ta-da!!! I’ve got to say, I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy with a piercing. I’ve had my lip pierced three times, and my ears pierced three times, and this septum piercing has been the easiest in both getting it pierced and the healing process. I’m a few days shy of a month for having gotten this, and the only pain I’ve had is when I accidentally bump it or hit myself in the nose (which happens more often then I’d like to admit). I didn’t have any of those annoying and disgusting little crusties. I have had no problems keeping it clean. And also, unlike with my lip piercing (which swelled to an enormous size the morning after getting it pierced), I can just flip the ring into my nose at night when sleeping, and I’m pretty sure that it cut down on the pain and swelling that might have occurred if I had not been able to do that. Speaking of flipping this into my nose, this is so easy to hide!!! It’s like it’s not even there.

Anywho.

If you’re wondering where I went to get this done, I went to Kolo in Little 5 in Atlanta. I didn’t shop around on price for this piercing as I’ve done in the past, and I’m pretty sure I paid about $20-$30 more for it than I would have just going to a tattoo shop and getting it done there. However, I’m definitely okay with that because Kolo kinda has a reputation for being the best and they have years upon years of piercing history.

Uhm, instead of having me tilt my head back, the piercer had be lie on my back with my head hanging off the table. I barely felt it when it put the needle through and it didn’t ache or anything while he put the ring through and then proceeded to show me how easy it would be to flip it up and whatnot. I barely bled. It was just a super pleasurable experience.

And so, in summation, if you’re wanting to get something pierced and you’re in the Atlanta area (or just in GA even) I highly recommend going to Kolo. They are just really fantastic. 🙂
